Trips for International Students in October

During the autumn semester, in the month of October, a large group of international students visited several places of interest.

Studying in Eger Campus in the framework of Erasmus+ and Stipendium Hungaricum programs, students were accompanied by Judit Tóth, intercultural coordinator, Anita Molnár, mobility coordinator as well as a few ESN mentors and they went on a trip organized by the Centre for International Relations.

The first one day trip, on Friday 6 October students could get experienced with the Hungarian capital.

The program started with a sightseeing at Hero's Square, then the group visited the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture in the Castle of Vajdahunyad. This was followed by a visit to Buda Castle District where they enjoyed the breath-taking panorama of our capital.

In the afternoon, the students visited the Parliament in the framework of a guided tour.

On Friday 20 October, 46 students, representing 17 nations all together, went on a second study tour in order to get acquainted with the city of Miskolc and its surroundings.

The program started with a visit of the Medieval Knight Castle of Diósgyőr. The students really enjoyed the English guided tour where they could learn a lot about the everyday life of Hungarian kings and queens.

Then, the group went to Lillafüred, where they were able to discover with a guide the St-Steven Stalactites Cave which really impressed everyone. Also, they enjoyed the autumn nature, the Hámori Lake and the hanging gardens of the Palace Hotel.

In the late afternoon, the group visited the city centre of Miskolc.
During the two trips, the students could see many beautiful sites and learn a lot about the Hungarian culture.
